Authentic Pad Thai: A Process Blog-Part 2

I'm back from my walk, and back to my pad thai.

Evening: I've already got most of the ingredients for the body of my pad thai in my cupboards, fridge and freezer. I tried making it using a store bought sauce earlier in the week, so I've still got beansprouts, rice stick noodles, chicken, shrimp, peanuts, lime, and onion in the house. I picked up some chives at the market this morning; the only thing I'm missing is eggs, the last of which the hubby used to make an omelette this morning. I also need peanut oil, as the only oil I have is olive, and that's not the flavour I'm going for. Down to the grocery store I go!
