F&*%$#ing Hell!

I give up. I'm never baking again. In case you can't tell, this is going to be a vent, so please bear with me. Christmas Day is my mom's birthday, and as I'm the baker in the family, making her cake is up to me. I decided, it being Christmas and all, to make Nigella's Clementine Cake. The cake that she calls the easiest cake in the world.

Well, it is the easiest cake in the world. Boiled clementines, ground almonds, sugar, baking powder, eggs. That's it. I have the lining of the tin with parchment paper down pat. All good. The cake batter is in the pan, on it's way to the preheated oven, when....

Yeah, you've probably guessed, me being clumsy me. I dropped the whole bloody thing. And not on the floor either. No, that would have been too easy. I dropped it IN THE OVEN. How do you drop a damn cake in the oven? I don't know, but I managed to do it. So now the inside of my oven, the door, and the drawer are covered in cake batter. And not only did I dirty about a dozen bowls and utensils making the bloody thing, but now EVERY clean pot that I own is now covered in batter, because they're in the oven drawer where all of the goop dripped down. I am so pissed off!

So I now I have to clean up a ridiculous half baked mess (because remember, the oven was heated and ready to go), and start all over again. Fack. Not a good afternoon. Time to call the hubby and have a good moan before I get back to cleaning up.
